The summer months are often filled with fun, travel, vacation, and are often a more relaxed time of the year. As the summer winds down in our northern hemisphere, I thought it would be fun to share a few tips on ways you can take the flavor of summer with you as you move into the fall.
First, here is a link to a breathing exercise I shared recently that is extremely relaxing as well as energizing. It can be done in about one minute and helps you let go of stress and feel more relaxed and expansive. These are some of the qualities of summer that I enjoy taping into all year round.
Second, you can use your sense of taste and smell to take summer flavors with you. There are many wonderful recipes to help you do this. Recently I shared one for squash fritters, which when you add chives, basil or other tasty summer herbs, can bring those summer flavors forward.
Finally, to me frozen treats are the epitome of summer. Plus frozen treats are extremely versatile, delicious, and can be quite healthy, too! So while we are still experiencing some lovely warm weather, I thought it would be fun to share a number of recipes for fun frozen treats. My next couple posts will focus on these. So check back soon!
