Health Tip 4: Drink Plenty of Water

Our bodies are made up of mostly water and to stay healthy it is important to make sure you drink enough water. Water flushes toxins out of the body, helps your organs function, and generally keeps all your systems running smoothly. Many people are continually dehydrated and don’t realize it. Some ideas:

–       Substitute. Instead of reaching for a soda or juice, drink a glass of water first and see if you are still thirsty for something else.

Take water with you everywhere

–       Drink water first thing in the morning. Before bed place a glass of water next to your bed and drink it when you wake up.

–       Keep a large water bottle with you wherever you go and drink from it throughout the day.

–       Find a way to enjoy the taste of the water you drink, whether it is filtered water, bottled water, squeezing a little lemon juice into it or adding a splash of juice.
